TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My primary experience so far is in personal and group tutoring, so many of my products are tailored to strengthen individual skills. Many can be used in math centers, or have been modified for classroom use. Other products have been created based on the struggles of students I've tutored. My "real-world" applications, fundamental understanding, or process-explanatory products have been designed to fill in some of those gaps.

Growing up, I experienced private, home, and public schools. Now pursuing my certifications in Math and Music Education, I am finding that the diversity in my background was incredibly helpful! I have personal insights into the benefits and atmospheres of all three, which have definitely shaped how I lead and teach my classrooms.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Why "47 Watermelons?" you may ask. We've all been forced to solve seemingly pointless word problems. For instance, "Jim bought 62 kumquats, and ate 17 of them, etc..." Unlike these stereotypical word problems, the products in my store are designed to be relatable to middle- and high-school students, and to teach REAL-WORLD math skills!
