Description

This packet is a personal narrative writing unit. If you are looking for a way to scaffold the writing process, then this is the unit for you! This packet contains colorful slides and reproducible worksheets that take students through the writing process. This packet contains an example personal narrative, planning pages, and editing/revision pages. I have personally been using this unit for 10 years. My students do very well on state writing tests as a result of the strategies used in this packet. Students will revise their compositions for word choice, descriptive language, figurative language, sound device, and sentence variety. Edit pages are reproducible worksheets that students can write their revisions on. The teacher can collect these pages and offer feedback to students before they write the final draft. The pages also are a perfect way to do mini-lessons. The preview shows 11 pages of the type of material you will get with this packet. Please email me if you have any questions about the contents in this packet.
