I created this grading rubric for the FitnessGram Tests. It is based off of progression. We do FitnessGram 5x throughout the school year at my school. The first is a diagnostic and graded for effort. Then, from each test, students are graded on increasing (or reaching the max, or some the top 1/3 of the HFZ) each of the FitnessGram tests that we do at my school. This is both a planning document for students and rubric to assess students leading a Physical Education class. As part of leadership, safety and fair play I have my students plan a Physical Education class and I make them lead and have them teach the other students. I make them include a health tip. They also have to pick a muscle in the human body and they have to give three stretches or exercises to strengthen and stretch that muscle.
