Becoming a Scientist Unit Plan
This is the first unit that I use in my sixth-grade science class. It covers classroom expectations, lab safety rules and symbols, the metric system, and includes an experiment where student compare and test their unique designs. My students use a lab notebook, so pages are meant to be cut and glued into the notebook. However, the pages can be easily completed on their own without the notebook.

Experimental Design Diagram Lesson

This SMART Notebook lesson introduces the basics for Boyle's Law, Charles' Law, Gay-Lussac and Combined Gas Laws.

Introduction to Classifying Organisms Smartboard
This is a SMARTboard I used to introduce 6th grade science units on plants and animals. The focus of the the lesson is introducing what an organism is and how organisms are scientifically classified. I taught these lessons over a 2-3 day period.
I designed the interactive SMARTboard presentation to be used with a science notebook, where the students complete each page in their notebook. If science notebooks are not available, handouts could be generated from the presentation pages.

CHEMISTRY - SMART Notebook - Stoichiometry Drill and Practice Packet
This SMART Notebook provides drill and practice for the stoichiometry conversions mole to mole, mole to gram, gram to mole and gram to gram.
