March International Woman's Day - Female Authors
March 8 is International Woman's Day. As a way to bring cultural awareness and discussions of tolerance into the classroom, this is an 11 slide powerpoint to start the discussion. The SmartBoard lesson includes an internet video about how Russians acknowledge the day, information about the first female author in the world and in the U.S., reading of a poem and an opportunity to infer it's title.
