I created this to teach my students about bridging to 10 when adding numbers 1-9 to 9 (like 6 + 9). We count to see how many circles are on the left side and count to see that there are 9 circles on the right side. We move one circle "over the bridge" to make 10 circles on the right side (so it becomes 5 + 10). Students know about making teen numbers when adding 10.
