Introduction to black history month
This flipchart is one I use to introduce the concept/idea of black history month to my students. It begins with a song about Martin Luther King, then has picture examples of the words past and present to help my kids understand what we mean when we say the "past". Then there are pages of examples of black athletes, musicians, actors, etc. At the end there is a video "black history alphabet" I hope this simplified way of introducing black history helps your class as much as it helped mine.

Interactive Whiteboard Place Value Learning Center (Promethean Flipchart)
Start by writing a number in the "Number to Show" box. Drag the base ten blocks from the Tool Box to show a picture of each part of the number in the top row. Use the pen tool to write the number of each type of block in the appropriate column in the middle row. Temperature Routine (Promethean Flipchart)
Engage students in the practice of meteorology by observing the weather each day. After students come in from recess, they can predict what the temperature is. Simply click on the icon to visit the National Weather Service site.
