This is a slide show presentation I used to explain the stages of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey and the Monomyth.
I used the 1977 film "Star Wars: A New Hope" to better relate this concept to my class. Each stage of Campbell's theory is explained briefly, and then the corresponding scene from the film is described.
This can be used as an introduction to any unit on mythology or a hero's journey.
