This behavior/participation checklist was developed as a tool for keeping track of student participation in a Robotics class. It is based on a point system. I found my middle school students were very receptive to this form of immediate feedback. This checklist could also be used in elementary, middle school, high school, and all grade levels.

Vex Racecar Project - Full detailed instructions with programming
22 pages of detailed, step by step instructions on how to build a racecar using the Vex Robotics Cortex platform. I include pictures and descriptions for every step of the building process to make it easy for students to follow along. I also include setps on how to write the RobotC program for the robot. This project should take about 1 full week to build and program. The racecar has a high gear ratio and is alot of fun to race!

Having a hard time collecting items for your making, tinkering, or engineering area? If you do not have an upcycling exchange area by you then sometimes it is hard to keep supplies in stock. I used this list by asking all the teachers to have their rooms be the collection site for one item on the list. I let the teacher have discretion about what they use or share with our library maker space. I also sent out the completed sign up list to all of the teachers so that they knew who the 'go to'
