Science Minerals in Everday Life - Fourth Grade - High School
This science books focus is on minerals around us, where they come from and how they are used in our everyday life. This book would be great as a supplement for an Earth Science Unit or Rocks and Minerals Unit.
I wrote the book with another colleague for the Northwest Mining Association.
Each mineral has Student Objectives, Tips for Teachers, Suggested activities for reinforcement and Measurement and Evaluation Questions.

Students ponder over the benefits of switching computer microchips from silicon to graphene. Might it be more sustainable as well? They design and write about their ideas.
