Classroom Signs with Translation Vocabulary
I created 23 sheets, 68 vocabulary of classroom signs. Each classroom sign has the translated version in English, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. These cards can be laminated and placed around the room to label the classroom. I find that these cards really help newcomer students in the upper grades. It also makes them feel not so lost, they get to see their home language. I used google translate, and the pics are from bing. I hope this helps make the learning transition easier. Thanks Mar

School Counselor Self Referral Student Passes
At the beginning of each year, I laminate one of each of these passes for each teacher in my building. If a student is in crisis or has an emergency they can use the "I need to see the counselor NOW" pass (with red light) ON RED PAPER, but if not, they use the "I need to fill out a counselor request slip" (with yellow light) ON YELLOW PAPER and can return to class. This helps me prioritize and triage as necessary and helps hall monitors, admin, and clerks route the student in the correct place.
