There is a student with severe behavioral issues on my caseload who also requires visuals. This version of a check-in/check-out sheet really works for him because he can earn points even if he messes up a little bit, and he can see what comes next in his day. Visual Schedule for Autistic Students
This resource allows you to build your students scheduled every day, or allows your student to have input in their daily schedule. The purple choices are categorized as “Have To” choices. The pink cards are “Want to” high interest choices. And the Green Choices are tasks that are part of the day that the student does not have control over such as lunch time, speech pull out time, ect.

Sometimes we have students with "frequent breaks" written into their IEPs. I have found that giving the students a visual clue for their breaks and helping them manage their breaks, i.e. how long and how many, helps them to accomplish their daily classroom goals. I print out the card and the clocks, laminate all of it, and then add Velcro to each rectangle on the card and to the clock pieces. The student brings the card to me and I hand them the clock piece. Simple picture words
I am a TA for an autistic, non-verbal child with limited fine motor skills. She can't or won't use sign language. I developed this program of picture words for communication.
