In 7th grade, students read the novel Chains in our ELA class. I work with ESOL/ENL students who would not be able to access the text yet, so I rewrote the novel in short summary format with pictures to help support them. There are stop and think question prompts after each chapter summary page. Each chapter summary is numbered normally, along with the corresponding date with roman numerals in the actual book.
