C-V-C Spelling Flip Chart {Promethean Board Activity}
This is a PROMETHEAN BOARD flip chart for C-V-C Spelling words. The activity consists of 23 words along with REAL photos which is extremely helpful for all students, especially students with special needs. It is set up so the image is present along with the letters required but mixed up. Students can drag the correct letter to the correct box (container) to spell the word. Introduction to black history month
This flipchart is one I use to introduce the concept/idea of black history month to my students. It begins with a song about Martin Luther King, then has picture examples of the words past and present to help my kids understand what we mean when we say the "past". Then there are pages of examples of black athletes, musicians, actors, etc. At the end there is a video "black history alphabet" I hope this simplified way of introducing black history helps your class as much as it helped mine.

HASS Prep 'Tom Tom' by Rosemary Sullivan and Dee Huxley
This is a FlipChart for Interactive Whiteboards.This is based on the book Tom Tom for Prep HASS (My Special Place). This is a great task for online learning and also to engage the whole class. There are numerous interactive activities to help the student's engage with the task. It also introduces the concept 'bird's eye view' by using a kookaburra flying over Tom Tom's town. The students have to label the map and also engage with the story about Tom's special place and their own special places.

This lesson is part of my community helpers unit. On each page there is a question such as where do you go to pray? a visual cue like a woman praying, and 3 choices of locations to choose from. When the child selects the correct answer it says the models the words for the location.

Transportation and Vehicles in the community
This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".

CVC Short Vowel Practice .flipchart
Students will improve short vowel skills by completing CVC words with missing vowels.
Each slide has a picture of a CVC word. The consonants are written under the picture. The student must choose one of the vowels listed at the bottom of the page and drag it into the space where the vowel belongs. If the student is correct, the vowel will stay in place. If the student is not correct, the vowel will bounce back to its original place.

Using rulers
This activity is one I created for my little guys to introduce the concept of using a ruler. Each page has a ruler and an object already placed on it as well as a line to reference where the child should be looking to find out how long it is. When a student selects the correct number (for its placement on the ruler) it has a reinforcing sound. It ends with a few pages of "which one is the longest/shortest" to help reinforce the topic.

This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong.
