Wampanoag Native Americans Thanksgiving Lesson
This is a smart board lesson that teaches about the Wampanoag Native Americans. It has interactive comprehension activities and has links to online resources. In the presentation there is a slide that says "lets learn about the Wampanoag" on that slide if you click on the turkey it will take you to the Scholastic site and a video on the Wampanoag.

My class used these informational slides to learn about three important Native American groups. We also practiced the reading strategy of determining importance by finding the most important information and underlining it for our notes. Students then took notes on the related graphic organizer (only using the most important words that we underlined together). 4th Grade Geographical Inquiry Project
This smart notebook takes you through supporting questions 2 and 3 of the NY State 4th grade geographical inquiry project. The whole project is included in the second slide. The essential question of the project is-- Does where we live matter? It has the resources from the state on the slides as well as attached. At one point students can use candy for land formations as a way to identify locations of key geographical formations.
