Ohm's Law Practice Problems (video tutorial) solve for V, I, R

Students will use ohm’s law to solve problems and solve for current, resistance or voltage in various situations. A video tutorial is included to model for students how to set up their paper to make less mistakes and example problems for how to solve for I, V and R. Students will also interpret circuit diagrams. This activity was made for a 9th grade physical science class. Math problems are scaffolded for students without much experience with algebra. THIS RESOURCE IS ALSO PART OF A BUNDLE *

IB MYP Assessment - Criterion D Projectile Motion

Created by
Ashley Hernandez
This is an IB MYP (year 5) assessment for criterion D, real-life application. If at a non-MYP school, it works as a great project or class activity. Students complete a lab to demonstrate the properties of projectile motion in the context of quadratic functions. They then use their data to make predictions and justify the accuracy of their solutions. It makes for interesting conversation about the parameter of what solutions are acceptable in the context of real-life problems involving physics.
