Sequencing is an integral reading skill, but is only one of many, so this engaging passage touches upon a variety of skills that assess reading and writing ability. Students will love the humor that spices the text and the naturally gruesome nature of the sea star's life. PARCC formatted questions and a writing prompt are included for assessment.
