I Bet You Know the Alphas (Comparing print, cursive, capitals)
This is an original story that could be used in a Montessori elementary classroom. It would be used to introduce or compare lower case letters in print, in cursive, capital letters, and phonograms. Through a story format, the children learn and remember the letters’ sounds, names, and what they say when they are “working with” combinations of letters, especially combinations of the vowels.

My students had a challenging time differentiating between ch and tr sounds. I made this to help them as a literacy center.
I set up using an open file folder with tr/ ch labels on either side, and then sets of 2 velcro pieces. Students decide which picture goes on which side and then which letter blend they will use to spell out the word.
