It is excellent for bell work assignments and keeps all that vocab in the same place for students to study for tests and major exams. As my administrator said during an observation "this is amazing! This fill-in-the-blank notes brochure is a great way for students to take notes while you discuss the important aspects of settling early America. I have made the PowerPoint presentation that goes with these notes. There are about 6 slides in the whole presentation that are not also on the notes brochure. You can have the students do a foldable on the information and stick it in an interactive notebook. The notes PowerPoint includes some discussion questions. You can use these during class, or

November is Military Family Appreciation Month - Pendant/Button, Digital File

I created these "buttons" for my elementary students to cut out, color and wear (with tape!) as a Military Family Appreciation Month activity. One page of the file is in color, but can also be printed in grayscale if you would like. The other page features an open heart, where students can draw in whatever they would like (their family, pattern, patriotic colors). With your purchase, you will receive the pictured PDF files with 6 "buttons" on each of the 2 pages to print out as many as you need.

Understanding why a date in the 1800s is called the 19th century or why our current century is called the 21st century is confusing for my students. I created this poster in Microsoft Publisher to help my student see the pattern. I started with the first two centuries before jumping to more recent ones. I also included examples of some dates and their corresponding centuries. I left this as a Publisher document rather then a PDF so that a teacher could keep updating the current year. If you n

Propaganda Poster Example

This is an example of a propaganda poster that you can use as a project example when examining any propaganda such as wartime propaganda. This is an LGBT propaganda poster that is aligned with the Universal Human Rights Declaration articles. I used this poster after giving the students a slideshow on the 7 types of propaganda (which is also for sale in my store). The students would then create their own propaganda poster on any issue that is important to them.
