A great follow up activity after a mini unit on blood typing or ABO Blood Genetics/Punnett Squares. Also great for enrichment when entering the genetic/genetic engineering units. My students enjoy reading this article and the questions I wrote as comprehension questions serve as a great way to hold them accountable to complete the reading.

Also great for enrichment for accelerated students.

Reading the accompanying "Think Piece" promotes debate, provides writing prompts, and allows for critical thinking opportunities. Satisfies US/World History, Social Studies, and Language Arts standards as well as Project Based Learning strategies.
