Places in the community ... where questions for children
This lesson is part of my community helpers unit. On each page there is a question such as where do you go to pray? a visual cue like a woman praying, and 3 choices of locations to choose from. When the child selects the correct answer it says the models the words for the location.

Transportation and Vehicles in the community
This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".

Mat Man Creation Flip Chart
Great way for preschool students to create mat man and develop their drawing of the human body. Easy to use and very simple to teach. I add two things to have a little extra fun with the students. I add "Crazy hair" and belly button. At the end of the song that would go with this I would sing "Mat man has crazy hair, crazy hair, crazy hair, mat man has crazy hair, because he is in preschool". All about community helpers including doctors and firefighters
This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. Then the last section is a question format such as "who helps put out fires" and your children should select the correct picture (with a reinforcing sound for choosing correctly).

What does not belong (categories, negation, and differences)
This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

What goes together (a basic sorting and categorizing activity)
This is the second part to my introduction about things that go together like socks and shoes, combs and brushes, etc. In this activity students will put 2 items that go together in its appropriate box. The slides initially start of with 1 of the items already in a box so that student select what goes with it, but it eventually moves to empty boxes that children sort by which things go together.

Practicing Letters A-Z flipchart

There is a slide for each letter of the alphabet.
Each slide shows how to form the capital letter using Handwriting Without Tears. Then provides a tracing letters line for students to come to the board and practice. And then at the bottom there are pictures to sort by whether or not they start with that letter.

Letter Formation using Lines and Curves ActivInspire Flipchart
In this flipchart, students will use different lines/curves to form upper case letters. There are different degrees of difficulty. It starts with the letter to drag the pieces over, then fill in the missing letters with no supports (two pages of this) then creating all of the letters with no supports. "How Many Hats?" A 0-10 Counting and Number Writing Lesson.
Students will be able to correctly count objects (hats) on the board using 1-to-1 correspondence, and correctly write the numeral that represents that amount.
Scaffolded support includes a 'hint' to see a faded version of the numeral to trace, and options to easily repeat the lesson.
This lesson may be used in large or small groups of students.

This is an activity that I use to introduce the concept of making comparisons and full vs empty. In this activity, students look at a few examples of items that are full or empty and then have a field of 2 in which they select the one that is full or empty. Orton-Gillingham Based Hard G Soft G Lesson PROMETHEAN Flip Chart
I create interactive flip charts that teach Orton-Gillingham based phonics and spelling lessons! This lesson teaches the rules for spelling words with hard g or soft g. There is also a code and read practice page created that may be printed from the flip chart. Sentence Puzzles Promethean ActivInspire Flipchart Lesson
Your little learners will have fun putting sentences together with this Sentence Puzzle Flipchart. The slides contain container activities where students have to put five words in order to make a sentence. Writing pages are included so students can write the sentences they unscrambled.
