This is a cloze activity (fill in the blank lyrics) for Del Castillo's Corazón Loco. They're an Austin-based band. This is one of their very traditional Tex-Mex songs. It's a good activity for Valentine's Day or any day you have an extra 5-10 minutes at the end of class or could serve as a fun warm up listening activity as well. Here is a book for summer programs that are looking for something fun and creative! Have the students create a picture every week that corresponds to a page. Then send the book home at the end of the summer as a keep sake. Be creative with the pictures. think about different art forms, different tools. One day you can have kids paint and then after school trace the shape on the back. The next day have students cut it out (if they can). It looks best when all the pages are very unique!
