Persuasive Writing-Letter to the Editor
This cross-curricular unit was designed to give students tools to use for responsible decision making. It demonstrates how opinions are formed from real-life experiences. When students discuss and role play varying life situations, they come to understand, and value, the Constitutional right we have to differ in viewpoints.
The lessons will provide practice in communicating thoughts and opinions in an organized, understandable manner through writing.

Design Your Own Beach Resort
This was my grade 7/8 class' favorite project of the year. After we discussed different persuasive advertising techniques in our media class, the students were asked to create and design their own beach resorts using PowerPoint or Google Slides.
