The principal and the committee liked it the best out of the submitted draft versions from each grade level team and it was adopted school wide with small edits made to reflect each grade level's needs and standards. Revising and Editing - Tip Sheet, 2 Passages and 15-question quiz
This product is for upper junior high and high school students facing revising-and-editing quizzes, whether in class or on standardized tests. Complaint Form (Decrease Tattling)
A great--and entertaining--solution to tattling. Instead of coming to you to tattle on a sibling or peer, the child is directed to fill out a complaint. You can set up a receptacle (complaint box of some sort) in a heavy traffic area for them to put their completed forms. This activity is effective in many ways. It encourages the child to really think about what he or she is about to tell you, it offers opportunities for writing practice, and it just might decrease the frequency of tattling

A Bundle of Hearts
Happy Valentine's Day!! Your students will love this activity! You can use the hearts for a project you had in mind or the students can make a collage or Valentine's Day card for Mom, Dad or whoever they choose to say, "I love you!" They can color the hearts with a crayon, colored pencil or whatever medium you choose. After they are finished coloring, they would cut out the hearts and create their most beautiful piece of art and include a paragraph sharing their feelings.

Run-on Sentences - How to Avoid Them, How to Correct Them
Of all student usage "sins", writing run-on sentences is probably the most common, and one of the most grievous. Composition graders grit their teeth when they see this obvious sign of a lack of sentence control. On multiple-choice assessments, including state assessments and the SAT, many questions are based on a student's knowledge of how to spot and avoid run-on sentences.
