Custom Grade Book

I created this custom Grade Book form when I grew frustrated with the commercially produced Grade Books on the market. Writing and rewriting student names on every page became such a CHORE, and the names didn't always fit perfectly. Also, the boxes for the assignment and the grades were always so teeny tiny that my bubbly handwriting never fit. Now I open up this template, save it with my class name, type in my students' names, and photocopy as many copies as I need, front to back. I never have

Plan Book Template

Are you ready to kick your paper and pencil Plan Book to the curb. I promise you, once you start using this digital plan book, you'll never go back. Start each week by opening the template, "Save As" and give it a new file name (I like to use week # and date), and start typing your plans. Once you really get going, you can skip the step of opening the template and open last week's plans instead and save that one with your new name. That way you can use your repeat items and be able to see what y

After 5 years in 5th grade we have perfected the art of keeping up with our behavior marks. The clipboard rotates with the students to different classes and we are able to tally and document behavior problems that occur on the Excel spreadsheet. We use codes to document the behaviors. EX: 1 is for talking. This is a wonderful tool to use to hold our students accountable and documentation for parent conferences. Document is editable!

"The Tournamator Jr." ; Organizes and scores class games & tournaments

Great for classroom competitions and parties alike. You've seen tournament templates online, they're okay for single or double-elimination championships, but what if you don't want students sitting idle after being eliminated? You need round-robin style play. Here comes, "The Tournamator"…an automatic roster and team generator, game organizer, and scoring system that will save you hours of organizing brackets and totaling scores. All you need to run it is Microsoft-Excel or the freeware prog

Scaled Schedule for 4, 6, 8, & 10 Weeks - Heroes in Literature Unit

Do you wonder how to turn a 4 week unit into an 8 week unit? Or how to go from 8 weeks down to 4? I've created a chart that helped me to scale my Heroes in Literature unit up and down, depending on when I used the unit and what the purpose of the work was. If it was early in the school year, the focus might be pre-assessment of their skills and getting to know your students. This is different than later in the year when we want to focus on skill development.

Do you hate the grade sheets that districts give out to record grades...flipping pages, you can't fit much on one page? I know many people enter all grades directly into computer programs but if you're like me and still like to have a hard copy for grades, these sheets work great. I created them when I was in college and have used them for the past 12 years! Included here is a grade sheet for weeks 1-5 with the ability to add one grade for each day of the week. I print out a sheet for each subje
