Quilts of the Heart Craft Activity for SMART Board
Every year during the winter my students and I love to make paper quilts. There is so much American history in the topic of quilting. This activity is fun for students of any age as they create quilt blocks from a template. The SMART Board activity is linked to literature, math and social studies. Secret Valentine's Day Activity
This is a fun activity you can use in your classroom leading up to Valentine's Day. This is how it works:
1) You assign every student a secret Valentine
2) Students write their secret Valentine a series of five clues. Four of the clues will be true, and one clue will be a "red herring" or a clue that is not true (to throw their Valentine off)
3) Students will TYPE clues. This is important because of they hand write them, it will be easy to tell who has who
4) Each day will be a delivery day lead
