This webquest takes students on an interactive tour of Ellis Island. The first 3 pages of the webquest includes guiding focus questions for students to answer as they tour all the rooms of the main building of Ellis Island. This is one of the first projects in my cell unit. Students pick (or are assigned) one cell organelle from either a plant or animal cell. I differentiate for students of different abilities by giving harder organelles (like the rough or smooth ER) to higher achieving students and easier organelles (like the vacuole or cell wall) to lower achieving students.
