Silly Stories Word Families

This is a great small group activity that the kids LOVE! Make a booklet for each student and use each week when introducing a different word family. We usually make a list on the board of words that fall into that word family. The we create a silly rhyming sentence to write in our book. After the student write their silly sentence, have them illustrate it to check for understanding! EX: -at word family. Pat the fat cat sat on my hat and now it is flat!
