I wrote this mystery years ago and the students in high school still remember it! I will post a chocolate lesson that goes with this-either before of after you solve the case.

This interactive lab has the students utilizing chromatography to investigate which suspect is responsible for eating all the Valentine's Day candy. This lab specifically zones in on the definition of mixture, soluble, and solvent. This lab is very hands on and has students engaged in the science content while having fun and celebrating Valentine's Day.
