Interactive Fossil Dig - Paleontology Unit Study

This paleontology unit can be broken down into two lessons. In the first you will cover the different rock layers. In the following lesson you can create a mini dig site for your students and have them find different "fossils" or objects you've placed. Talk about how everything we would find is from the Cenozoic age. Then have them figure out how deep they would have to dig to reach the older time periods. This lesson also includes worksheets to record dig findings and artifacts. The next lesson

This document includes instructions that outline what makes a a good argument for suspect guilt or innocence, versus a bad argument. It also includes a table for the students to fill in that helps guide their thinking and helps them gather the necessary information to make good arguments. This is also a wonderful additi
