Critical Thinking Parts of Speech Grammar Visuals for Language
In working with my middle school students, I find that I am frequently returning to the same concepts: parts of speech, using conjunctions to form complex and compound sentences, and critical thinking skills.So, I designed these reference cards to use with my students. Now, we have a constant reminder (inside and outside of the therapy room) of the kinds of things we're trying to accomplish in speech & language! This is a booklet I created for a student that has difficulty answering questions. Each page focuses on a question, tells what the question is asking about and shows words, phrases and sentences that can be used to answer the question. Questions include: who, what, when, where, why, how, which, what...doing, how much and how many. I hope it can be as helpful to your students. Technology Guide for Uploading Media to Create a Podcast Channel (CCSS aligned)
This guide shows students how to upload a media file to a podcast channel, specifically Podbean.com. It includes a 25-word glossary of technical terms used in the task. It can be used to supplement any course content as a project. For instance, a student can produce an audio file on any topic and then publish it to a podcast channel as part of an oral language project. Poetry readings, musical performances, or reporting the weather are just a few ways to incorporate podcasting.
