Fractions on a Number Line
Whenever I teach fractions, I find that students have the most difficulty drawing accurate number lines...and they are expected to draw them over and over...and over again!
Here is a basic printable which includes nine number lines (one each for halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, sevenths, eighths, ninths, and tenths). Each number line is labeled from 0 to 1. Measurements are accurate so students can practice noticing patterns between unit fractions, equivalent fractions, etc.

Partitioning Rectangles: Drawing Fractions Practice
Students are often required to partition rectangles or number lines into different fractional parts. I do this lesson toward the beginning of my fraction unit to have students discover strategies for breaking rectangles into equal parts. For example:If you want fourths (4 equal parts), you draw 3 lines. If the number of lines you want to draw is ODD, then you can always start by cutting it in half.
