College Essay Writing
Writing a college essay is an essential part of applying to college. Most colleges now require an essay. This product would be ideal to use with either 11th graders or 12th graders in the fall. Students can practice writing college essays in preparation for their actual essay.. I have outlined the format of the essay and I've provided common topics used by colleges. Included here are 5 handouts and 3 PowerPoint lessons.

This is a homework activity that I give my seventh grade parents at open house every year. It really helps me to connect with my kids right away. This is a 20 day unit over the novel The Wizard of Oz. It has great potential to become a school wide, cross curricular unit if desired.
