Students can write word families in the abc boxes. For example if you were working on the -ug word family a student would put bug in the B box. It can also be used in reading. When a student finishes a book they can try to fill up as many ABC cubes as they can with things from thier book. They can use characters, places, and details from the book. Students can also use is as a word wall anchor page at their desk. When words are added to the word wall students add it to the ABC cube page.
