Scaffolded Four Paragraph Essay Organizer (with models and transition words)
This is a great scaffolded graphic organizer for students to use when they are developing a written essay. Oftentimes, I find my students often need more support than just a blank essay template, so I created this scaffolded organizer with models of thesis statements and topic sentences. I also included examples of transition words that can be used in each part of an essay.

New Year's Resolution Writing Graphic Organizer with Scaffolded Questions
This writing organizer can be helpful to help students chunk and organize their ideas by answering chunked questions before forming a paragraph. Sentence starters will help students who need support with initiating sentences. It is color coded to help with the transfer of ideas from small sentence question prompts and answers to paragraphs. The final writing prompt promotes higher level thinking as students are asked to connect their goals to a quote.

This graphic organizer is aimed to support a student in developing a claim and connecting it to the supporting evidence through an explanation. The student should first identify a claim, then explain why this claim is accurate, and finally add text evidence.
