One letter goes into each box (with the exception of teaching rules such as digraphs then the digraph goes into one box, such as the word cash, you would use 3 boxes c/a/sh. Great tool for practicing sounding out new words.I found this useful when introducing new vocabulary and as a daily classroom tool!It was useful during circle time, word work or learning new vocabulary after a read aloud.
