I was seeking a way for students practice their facts in a way that helped them understand the building blocks of multiplication. I wanted my students to internalize what multiplication meant long before they began to memorize the multiplication facts.
So I created this sheet to help them visualize that multiplication comes in many different forms.

Interactive Frogs on a Log Number Line
This is a great activity to go along with the 5 Frogs on a Log song! Students can take away a frog from the log throughout the song. The corresponding number line also is a good visual to help students with adding and subtracting frogs.
