Fading Dot Cards for Subitizing
This smartboard activity is to help students to subitize to 10 using dot cards. The dot cards slowly fade away so students can identify the numbers quickly. Students can look for groups of dots to help count and identify the number.
K.CC.4a When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
K.CC.4b Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects count

Explorer Trading cards
Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, Juan Ponce de Leon, Hernan Cortes, Jacques Cartier, Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, Henry Hudson, Robert de La Salle. These are trading cards with their "stats" and missing the name. Students can play Kagan fan and pick to identify them. The cards also have numbers 1-5 in the corners for how much of an impact they had. Students can play war but must name the explorer correctly to win.

Bass Clef Lesson with Flash Cards
This is a lesson that introduces notes on the bass staff, as well as B above the staff and middle C. After an introduction to the staff, a 30-card quiz is used to reinforce the note names. Students identify the note shown by writing the answer on a line, then remove the screen shade to reveal the correct answer. This is great for both individual and group work, and can be made into a competitive or non-competitive game as needed.

Koosh Ball - Multiplying by 7 Game
This notebook document was developed as a game for students to practice their multiplying by 7 facts.
This game can be played as a class or you can play head to head games. Use a koosh ball, any light weight ball, or even your hand to tap a circle. Once a circle is hit, a fact will pop up on the board. The first person to say the correct answer gets the point. Tap the circle at the bottom to return to the home page and throw again for another fact.

Colors Interactive Whiteboard Flash Cards
This is an interactive whiteboard (SmartBoard) lesson for colors. I have used it to teach, practice, and reteach colors to Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First grade students. Once you have taught or reviewed the first color you can move (slide) it aside and review another color. This lesson includes 11 color flash cards: white, black, brown, red, green, orange, pink, grey, yellow, blue, and purple. Have fun!

Balloon Pop Review
Great activity to help motivate students to complete work to earn a reward. Students can complete 5 or so problems or review questions then earn the right to pop a balloon containing a chocolate bar, candy, or dollar. The dollar relates to our PBIS currency of 'Bulldog' bucks but you could replace it with an extra quarter of a point on an assessment or homework pass.
