Intro to dip nib/calligraphy pens with pattern activity
This is a very short video I made for my students on dip nib pens (or as some may call them, calligraphy pens). It goes over the following:
- The parts of a nib
- How to put a nib into a pen holder
- How to hold the pen and dip it into the ink
- How to draw thick and thin lines with the dip nib pen
At the end of the video I go over briefly the care of dip nib pens. I also tell students that each of them will get their own pens to take care of. I find that this method holds students accountable
