This smart board was made to practice questions that can be answered without reading a passage. The kids can press the speaker icon and listen to vowel sounds and find the words with the same vowel sounds, put words in ABC order, brainstorm verbs, practice TEI items with synonyms, antonyms and vocabulary and homophones. Great test prep and whole group spiral review for testing!

12 multiple meaning word questions. Students are given 2 sentences and must choose the word that can correctly complete BOTH sentences. These are words that can be used as nouns OR verbs. A quick smart unit for teaching multiple meaning words. There is an assessment page at the end of the unit, where students must apply their knowledge.

This senteo test can be used with the senteo student response system or could be done on the smart board with the group using paper/pencil, white boards, etc. It practices word analysis skills such as vowel sounds, rhymes, syllables, prefix/suffix, and ABC order. There are a few other reading SOLS for review as well, none of which require a passage to be read. There are 15 slides to practice.

The Homophone Smart board activity is engaging, interactive and fun! Once you open the Smart board activity you will see a dice with individual letters on it and another one with dots. You simply touch the dice and it randomly selects a number or letter. This could be how you would select students to come up and participate in the lesson.
