Protein Synthesis (Transcription and Translation) Manipulative

This flipchart demonstrates both transcription and translation for high school biology. The original strand of DNA is quite long (about 40 bases), but you can model as much or as little of it as you would like. The translation page allows you to match a tRNA to a codon and make a chain of amino acids. I usually use this as I teach protein synthesis and as a review. It is often a 'lightbulb moment' for many of my students!

Plant hormones

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FLIPCHART. It needs to be used on software like promethean. There are a multitude of different ways to use this resources. It is a picture of a plant with arrows pointing to the different parts of the plant that the hormones act on. There are boxes where the students can write the hormone and the effect it has. Move the boxes for the answers.Use the preview file as a student handout so that they can take notes as they go. The hormones covered are: Gibberellian, ABA, IAA (Au
