Many children have worries. To help children cope, adults can encourage young children to draw or print their worries and in turn externalize these challenging emotions. With the children and families that I work with, we like to draw our worries on "Worry Monsters." The worry monsters can then hold onto the worry so that the child does not have to. This is one aspect of OuTcomes Therapy's Calming Kit. We will be posting more items in the coming weeks to help children calm, regulate and focus.
