Elementary Musical Scope and Sequence
This is a K - 6 musical scope and sequence for the general music education classroom. It is one we worked on for over a year for our school district. (Updated 10-8-18) I am the only elementary music teacher in my district. This is a good starting point for any teacher who does not have a scope and sequence to follow. Music Class - Lesson Plan Template
I have found this template to be very helpful when planning my music lessons.
This template is Kodaly based, but it can be edited to be used however you wish. It works very well when paired with the "Yearly Plans" book that goes with the "American Methodology" book by Ann Eisen and Lamar Robertson.
I have tried 3 or 4 different lesson plan formats during my time teaching, and this one is my favorite so far. Hope you can find it useful!
