Workboard Smartboard Choices for centers

This is an excellent way to get the Daily 5 choices made first thing in the morning. It is made in smartboard so that they can just right in and make all their choices for Daily 5. Saves so much time and works great. I included an example on the first page and then there are 7 blank pages after. Very easy to use!! At the top of the notebook I have placed the Daily 5 choices so that my students can come in and drag and drop their choices for that day in the open boxes. I go ahead and place

Attendance and Lunch Count Smartboard

This is a simple way to have the students be responsible for what they're buying for lunch and to copy in their agenda books what the homework is for the night. I have 4 different ones for the seasons. If you don't have an actual smartboard, the students can use a mouse instead. It is a great way to get those morning tasks done simply and quickly. I have infinite cloned the images and you just write each students name and then group the image and the name together. If you have any questions pl

This is a daily 5 check-in for the smartboard. There are only four rotations on here because we only do three a day. There is one extra in case we get to a fourth. A fifth rotation could be easily added. The students choose their rotations first thing when they come in the classroom. This saves a lot of time between rotations. Then their choices are up on the smartboard each time we switch rotations. The students names are in the color of their reading group so they can easily find their name. Y

I use this with my students during Daily 3. They get to pick the order they want to complete the Daily 3 in. This allows them to still make choices even though I am having them complete all 3 rotations! This is a Smartboard file so make sure your computer is compatible for this type of file.

Importance of learning English language arts

English language arts (ELA) concepts — reading, writing, listening, and speaking — empower students to become effective communicators, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. They are the foundation for all other types of learning as students must rely on ELA skills to master content from other subject areas and communicate what they’ve learned.

Strong reading skills can help students make sense of written content, and gather information for further analysis. Writing skills can help students articulate their ideas, construct arguments, and synthesize information. And speaking and listening skills empower students to clearly present their ideas, participate in group discussions, and collaborate with their classmates. This is why teaching English language arts is critically important for student’s success in school and beyond.

Benefits of learning English language arts

Learning English language arts offers many benefits to students both in school and beyond. It helps students:
