So how do these stop and jot thinkmarks work? As they read, students will be monitoring their own reading. They will learn to respond to the reading using thinkmarks! The image on the left is a small, easy to draw image that will help them associate their reading over time with a certain skill. It also slows them down, to asses what questions they really have about the reading.
