This is a flipchart that I made for the beginning of the year in my library. It is for grades 2-6. Each grade contains an opening slide, series specific slides, and an exit ticket slide. I use this flipchart with B.J. Novak's "The Book With No Pictures". We read the text and then I transition into the flipchart with the question, "Are you ready for a book with no pictures?" Great resource for 2nd or 3rd graders who are chapter book hesitant or even over-confident in their abilities and are picking chapter books much too hard for them.

This is a very simple, six slide Flipchart that I use to introduce each of the sections in our library. I use this to prep students to use the computer catalog. The sections in my library are Everybody (usually Easy in other libraries), Chapter Books (FIC), Dewey (Nonfiction), and Biography. I call renamed our Easy section "Everybody" so that older kids (3-6) do not feel stigmatized about selecting books from that section. I also call our nonfiction section "Dewey" to cut down on confusion since
