Christmas Tree Syllable Sort
Decorate the Christmas Trees by putting the ornaments on the correct tree.
Use this Smartboard activity to reinforce 1,2,and 3 syllable words. Students will have to determine how many syllables each word has and then move it onto the corresponding tree. You can have students take turns or use this as a whole group activity. Once students become familiar with Christmas Tree Syllables, this can also be used as a Reading Center for additional practice.

ABC Order to the 3rd Letter - Button Up SMARTBOARD
This SMARTboard activity provides practice in alphabetizing words to the 3rd and 4th letter. Students move the words to the line in alphabetical order. Noun and Verb Identification Lesson
I don't know about you, but when the kids come into my classroom they can give examples of nouns and verbs very easily. They become frustrated when they have to identify the nouns and verbs within a sentence. This is a stepping stone lesson to them actually breaking sentences about by subjects and predicates.
I am sure this can be used in many grades because if they don't have it by 4th grade, it may not stick for a while.
