I developed this product for use in an Honors English II class. Students first respond to the common prompt before we read. I gave them ten minutes to write, and then they volunteered to share their responses. Then, after we read, I had students choose groups, and I assigned each group a prompt to respond to using the ACES format. Finally, students choose another prompt to respond to individually.
