I devised a quick start guide for new or seasoned teachers to set up and review data from NWEA MAP testing. This made our testing much smoother!

Pattern Snakes
We have been discussing the concept of patterns, the different types of patterns and attributes we can use to make patterns.
This activity uses tangram blocks with the hexagon acting as the head. Students will choose a pattern of blocks, trace them and then colour them using a pattern. Students will then realize that they are making a pattern using two attributes.
This worksheet reinforces 2D shapes and patterning.
When students have completed the worksheet, they are to write the pattern rule

I Have Who Has Place Value Game
This is a version of the I Have, Who Has Game; made to help students learn Place Value. This games allows the students to have fun while still becoming familiar with Place Value. On each card there in a question written asking "Who has __ tens and __ ones?" The corresponding card will say "I have __!" I hope you and your students enjoy :)
