I use this smartboard file as a game and/or review to help students understand the concept of subject matter in art.
It has 3 categories:

There are pictures of famous artists' art that they have to drag and place under the correct heading. Then they need to explain why they feel it should go there. Some are a little tricky but, it's perfect for helping students understand what to look for in a work of art.

Earth Day Recycling SMART Board Attendance Activity w/ SOUND
Celebrate Earth Day and encourage recycling through the use of this fun and engaging SMART Board attendance activity. Students move their recyclable item to the recycling bin. Students then click the bin to hear the recycling truck back up and do its job!

Character Traits and Motivation SMARTBoard file with Graphic Organizer
This is an introductory lesson on Character Analysis. An interactive graphic organizer included as well as a link to a printable organizer. A story is included for practice, but the organizer is designed to work with an character analysis. An enrichment activity is included with larger printable pieces from the graphic organizer that can be cut out and then attached to construction paper to create their character. This is and interactive Smart Board story. It was written by a kindergarten class to model the mentor author: Laura Numeroff. The story is a circular story with a seasonally appropriate Earth Day theme. It has animations that fade in when the page is turned. This can be used as both a writing and reading workshop lesson. The last page has a circular story format that can be used to model the circular story writing. This is a common core aligned lesson.
